Honora Morrissey Freeman

Honora Morrissey Freeman joined Evergreen Capital Advisors, Inc. in 2003 as a managing director. She has 22 years of experience in government, including 12 years with Baltimore County, where she rose to be assistant to the County Administrator and chaired the Transportation Committee of the Maryland Association of Counties. Ms. Freeman also served Baltimore City for 10 years, as president of Baltimore Development Corporation and ultimately as Deputy Chief of Staff for Mayor Schmoke. In the latter post, Honora Freeman had responsibility for coordinating intergovernmental relations with the Maryland General Assembly, regional planning groups, the state's Congressional delegation and Baltimore City Council.

Between her terms of governmental service, Ms. Freeman practiced law with a prominent Baltimore law firm. She was admitted to the Maryland and District of Columbia bars.

Honora Freeman graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and from The John Hopkins University with a Master of Administrative Science degree. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Law School. Ms. Freeman has served on the Board of Directors of the University of Maryland Cancer Center and on the Board of Directors of the Homeland Association, in the north Baltimore neighborhood where she currently resides with her husband. One of 14 children, Honora Freeman has two children of her own and five grandchildren.
